Slick Rock Outdoors began as an idea between two friends from Glen Rose, Texas, who wanted their own hats that looked different from everything else they were seeing.

The idea first started while we were still in high school. We wanted to create hats that reflected the place we came from, the things we enjoyed doing, and the kind of products we would actually want to wear ourselves.

After our first year at Texas A&M, we ordered a small batch of hats for ourselves and a few friends who had said they wanted one. Initially, we never imagined Slick Rock would become a real business. We simply wanted to make something we liked.

For more than a year, people continued asking where they could buy the hats. That interest eventually convinced us that Slick Rock could become something bigger.

Established in 2024, Slick Rock Outdoors officially launched on August 22, 2025.

Since then, our goal has been to build more than another hat company. We are building a brand rooted in small-town Texas and made for the experiences that bring people together.

Slick Rock represents early mornings on the hunt, afternoons on the lake, rounds of golf with friends, weekends at the ranch, long drives, small-town nights, and the stories that come from spending time outdoors with good people.

We believe the best products should feel connected to real places, real people, and real experiences. Every Slick Rock design is created with that in mind.

As we continue to grow, we hope to create headwear and apparel that people are proud to wear wherever their own stories take them.

Above everything else, we want Slick Rock Outdoors to remain rooted in Jesus, inspired by small-town Texas, and centered around the people and experiences that create memories that will last a lifetime.
